The AdventureBike RiderCourse is designed for riders with an adventure or dual-purpose motorcycle who want to safely

explore beyond the pavement and learn how their bike behaves on low-traction surfaces.

ADVENTUREBIKE RIDERCOURSE

What you will learn

6 fundamental off-road skills taught across riding sessions and discussions

throughout your 1-day training.

Confidence

Gain confidence riding while standing,

shifting your weight for better control, and

using counterweight techniques for slow,

tight turns.

Traction

Practice controlled loss of traction, rear-

wheel steering, and safe straight-line

braking, including managing rear tire skids

and threshold braking.

Risk Management

Understand risk strategies and how to apply the MSF SEE approach. Search, evaluate and execute real off-road

environments.

Skills

Develop the skills to cross obstacles,

make U-turns on hills, and traverse slopes

with precision and control.

Preparation

Get expert tips on adventure ride prep. From equipment checks to route planning, so you are ready for your next big journey.

Technique

Build core rider technique for low traction.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Come prepared. Ride confident

Training runs from 8:00am to 4:00pm outdoors on the range. Here is the minimum

required gear to participate.

  • Full or 3/4 DOT helmet

  • Eye protection - Face shield or goggles

  • Sturdy over-the-ankle boots (off-road preferred)

  • Long-sleeve shirt and durable long pants (riding gear preferred)

  • Full-fingered motorcycle-specific gloves

  • Sunscreen, rain gear, and a packed lunch

Loaner gear is not available. We encourage everyone to dress for the weather and bring any drinks or snacks they prefer.
